Crownhill Conservatories, Plymouth in 2023
With the winter weather well and truly upon us, and the festive period creeping up fast, the team at Crownhill Conservatories have been looking back at the past 12 months, and how their business has flourished.
A Busy Year for Conservatories
2023 has been yet another busy and successful year for us, despite the current economic climate. For this, we are truly grateful and humbled. We continue to see a year-on-year growth of our conservatory business, and hope to replicate this again in 2024 and beyond.
Our Showsite in Crownhill, Plymouth
During 2023, we have, once again, improved our showsite, which is based within the grounds of Plymouth Garden Centre in Crownhill.
The addition of another gable-fronted show model, with a Guardian Warm Roof has proved very popular with customers.
We have invested heavily in our showsite, ensuring it is accessible to as many people as possible. Our models are displayed for customers to get a feel for the quality and style of our conservatories and roof options. To make it easy to navigate for the disabled, or those with mobility issues, we have paved all access areas.
New Staff
We are pleased to have welcomed Nicola Claffey to the Sales Team. This allows us to ensure that the showsite is staffed 7-days per week, which is excellent news for customers who may work Mondays-Fridays, and can only visit us at weekends. Nicola has made a valuable addition to our friendly and approachable team.
Proud to Support Local Suppliers
Here at Crownhill Conservatories, we are proud to support local suppliers – not only helping the local economy, but also reducing our carbon footprint, in a bid to become as ‘green’ as possible.
We continue to use suppliers from within a 30-mile radius of our showsite.
Sponsorship/Charity
Crownhill Conservatories are very keen to support local charities, and do our bit to spread the donations/sponsorship across causes which are dear to our hearts. In 2023, we have:
- Sponsored a Plymouth U16’s football team with a new kit.
- Donated to Pawsome Pensions – A charity set up to support retired police and fire service dogs with unexpected vet fees.
- Donated to the Dalmation Trust.
- We currently have a show model for sale, and all proceeds from the sale will go to the local food bank.
The Phobe Hoskin Trust
Our team were glad to be able to help the ‘Phoebe Hoskin Trust,’ by donating a Christmas Tree for their 'Forever and Always' Garden at Derriford Hospital. The garden is a baby memorial garden, and people are welcomed to add a decoration to the tree with their baby's name on it.
Plans for 2024
The final phase of our showsite will be completed in 2024. We will be updating the Sales Office with another Guardian Warm Roof Conservatory.
The plan for the year ahead, is to continue designing and installing many more exceptional conservatories in Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall, hopefully enjoying another successful and fruitful year. We love to help make our customers’ properties into homes they can be proud of.
